Higgins Lake, Day 1
We got a late start on our trip to northern Michigan. We left at 5:37pm, and frankly I should have paid closer attention to the distance we had to travel. It was nearly dawn when we rolled into the driveway.
After a few hours rest we got our day started. For me the high point was sledding with Sarah. After a little while tromping through knee deep snow we found a good hill. Soon Stephanie walked up with Toby and I snapped the picture you see here. Hard to tell what Toby thought of his first stint as a sled dog, but there was no question he was ready to get back to the warm cottage.
